The Dili Institute of Technology is a university in the East Timorese capital Dili . It is an official university recognized by the Agência Nacional para a Avaliação e Acreditação Académica (ANAAA) . The accreditation took place in 2009. It is located on Rua DIT , in the Aimutin district .

history

The DIT was founded as a private, non-profit institute in 2002 with the aim of offering higher education for young people, veterans of the struggle for independence and their children. In 2006 the DIT had to close for a while due to the unrest in East Timor . Dean João Câncio Freitas finished his work at DIT. When it reopened in November 2006, Estanislau de Sousa took over Saldanha until 2014.

In the 2006-08 period, the DIT had few students, and as a result, it had $ 150,000 in debt. Since the education there was attractive, however, the number of students increased and the debts were paid in 2012.
