The Universidade de Díli (UNDIL, German University of Dili ) is a private university in the East Timorese capital Dili . It is located in the Balide district , on Avenida Bispo Medeiros in Suco Mascarenhas . There is also a parallel class in Baucau , the second largest city in the country. The university is funded by the Dom Boaventura Foundation (BOAKRIL).
history
The university, with its six faculties, was founded on May 20, 2002. It is the transformation of the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Economy STIE ( Portuguese instituto Superior Economia E Gestão ISEG ), which was founded in 1998 and completed in 1999. Since 2013 it has been recognized as a university in East Timor by the Agência Nacional para a Avaliação e Acreditação Académica (ANAAA) .
In 2011, 780 students studied at UNDIL. At that time the university had a total of 1,449 students. Four percent of them attend the parallel class in Baucau.
