António Cardoso Caldas Machado

António Cardoso Caldas Machado (born April 3, 1958 in Ossu , Portuguese Timor ) is a politician from East Timor . He is a member of FRETILIN .

The Indonesian occupation (1975-1999) spent Machado in his home Viqueque.

Machado studied English and was a lecturer at Universidade Nasionál Timór Lorosa'e (UNTL). From 2001 to 2012 he was a member of the national parliament of East Timor and in the second legislative period he was president of the commission for youth, sport, work and training (commission H).

Machado was later rector of the Universidade de Díli (UNDIL). Machado was a member of the State Council from 2012 to 2017 .
