Caicara de Maturín is a village in the Venezuelan state of Monagas . It is the administrative seat of the Municipios Cedeño. The population is about 20,000 people.
history
The region was formerly inhabited by Chaimas and Parias ( Caribs ). The Aragonese monk Antonio de Blesa founded the village of Santo Domingo de Guzmán de Caicara.
