history

The viticulture in Rhodes goes far back into antiquity, it can be found in numerous Greek and Roman sources positive mentions. The winery CAIR was founded in 1928 during the Italian occupation (1912-1943) as a cooperative and produced initially exclusively sparkling wines in traditional bottle fermentation . Today the inexpensive basic products are produced using the Charmat method .
