Cajun Dance Party is a British indie band from London, founded in 2005 .
history
Cajun Dance Party recorded their first demo in 2006 and released their first single The Next Untouchable in 2007 , which became the “Track of the Week” at NME . More singles followed until they finally signed a contract with XL Recordings . Her debut album was released in 2008 under the title The Colorful Life . The album made it to number 49 in the UK charts.
The band has performed at various festivals, including Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury, Oxegen, T in the Park, Underage Festival, Camden Crawl, the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan and the Les Inrocks tour in France.
Daniel Blumberg and Max Bloom left the band in late 2009 to work on their new project Yuck . However, there was never an official breakup of the band.
