Lists on the subject |
The Calico M960 is a submachine gun developed by Calico Light Weapons Systems in the 1980s .
The weapons stand out due to their design, concept and appearance: the extremely large magazine capacity due to a screw magazine, combined with a slim profile and two-handed handling, is remarkable. The first designs, introduced by the US company Calico Light Weapons Systems around 1990, were intended for police and military units as well as for the civilian market.
However, the sales figures did not meet expectations.
On the one hand, the weapon fires the 9 mm Luger caliber, with the empty cases being ejected downwards. The Calico M960 models in caliber .22 lr have their ejection openings on the side.
