The approximately 70 m high Callachy Hill north of Fortrose and Rosemarkie in Ross-shire in the Scottish Highlands is a cairn that has been excavated several times, about 15 m in diameter and 1.8 m in height, located at the southwestern end of the summit plateau.

The traces of the excavations are still clearly visible. In 1883 Colin MacKenzie discovered a very small stone box 0.75 m long, 0.5 m wide and deep in the middle of the cairn . During excavations in 1906 and 1907, a secondary cremation and the dotted edge fragment of an urn near the edge of the hill were found, but this has been lost. There are no traces of the stone box either.
