Camberwell and Peckham is a constituency for the House of Commons in Greater London , which is primarily in the London Borough of Southwark . The constituency was created in 1997 and covers much of Chorley . He sends a representative to parliament.

Since the general election in 1997 , the constituency has been represented in parliament by Harriet Harman , the former Labor Party leader .

The constituency had an unemployment rate of 6% in April 2013 . The value was thus higher than the national average of 3.8%.
