Camnago Volta

Camnago Volta is a district of Como in northern Italy.

When the Kingdom of Italy was founded (1861) , Camnago had 422 inhabitants. The place was renamed Camnago San Martino in 1962 and a short time later in honor of Alessandro Volta in Camnago Volta.

Until 1943 the place was independent and was then incorporated into Como.

The grave of Alessandro Volta is located in the Camnago Volta cemetery.
