Camp Julien

Camp Julien was a military camp in Afghanistan of the Canadian Armed Forces from spring 2003 to November 29, 2005 in southwest Kabul , near the Darul Aman Palace . The size of the fenced area was about 1 kilometer by 0.5 kilometer.

During Canada's Operation Athena , this encampment was the main base for Canadian soldiers . As early as August 2003, 1,950 Canadian soldiers were on site, supplemented by around 400 international civilian workers.
