Hideaki Motoyama

Hideaki Motoyama ( Japanese 本 山 秀 昭 , Motoyama Hideaki ; born July 25, 1969 in Kumamoto Prefecture ; † July 29, 2009 ) was a Japanese badminton player .

Career

Hideaki Motoyama studied at the Japanese Sport University and won for this the Japanese student championships in 1989 and 1990 in the men's singles and was second in 1991. At the university world championships in 1990 he won bronze in men's doubles with his fellow student Hitoshi Ōhori, and in 1992 bronze in mixed with Emiri Hihara . Hideaki Motoyama took part in the men's singles at the 1992 Olympics. He was able to fight his way up to the second round and was 17th in the final score.
