Polylithic column - here Hospitalet Vell

The Campanari des Moros , a column made of individual stones, stands east of the road from Sabó to Montuïri on the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca . It is the stacked polylithic column of a vanished talayot . It probably disappeared when the nearby settlement of Sabó was built.

The monument, not entirely unique in Mallorca, was described by Émile Cartailhac (1845–1921) in 1887 : "I have here an ideal example of how the ruins of an enormous talayot, similar in size to those of Sa Canova, disappear down to the central column".

The memorial consists of five large blocks of stone stacked on top of one another, tapering downwards and a total of around 4.0 m high.
