Campus charts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Campuscharts is an initiative of several campus radios in Germany that has existed since 1999 . This is an interactive hit parade for the target group of campus radios. The idea was to counter the commercial chart broadcasts of other radio stations and to focus on lesser-known bands.

The campus charts were initiated by the campus radios NRW; the concept developed eldoradio * (Campusradio Dortmund) and CT, the radio (Radio Campus Bochum).

concept

Eleven titles and eight new releases are available every week. Online voting gives listeners the opportunity to vote for their favorite tracks and thus influence the ranking. There is a time slot for voting from Monday evening to Saturday night.

The eight new presentations are determined by the music editors of the participating campus radios. Music titles are often selected that will only be officially published shortly.

The newly determined hit list of the week will be broadcast on the "Campuscharts" program on the producing campus radio stations from Monday evening. The implementation and transmission time of the 60-minute program is variable. However, identical packaging elements ( jingles etc.) are used by all broadcasters .

publication

The campus charts were published regularly in Spiegel magazine. The television broadcaster MTV also took over the title of the campus chart every 4 weeks in the now discontinued program Spin .
