CT das radio is the university radio of the four Bochum universities, i.e. the Ruhr University Bochum , the Bochum University , the Protestant University of Applied Sciences and the Technical University of Applied Sciences . It is the oldest campus radio in North Rhine-Westphalia and has been in operation since 1997. CT das radio broadcasts from the university building MA of the Ruhr University Bochum with an effective radiation power of 300 watts. Not only in Bochum , but also in the surrounding cities ( Herne , Witten , Hattingen , Recklinghausen , Herten , Dortmund and Castrop-Rauxel ), depending on geographical conditions, it is sometimes possible to receive the station . The transmission frequency is 90.0 MHz. The program is also broadcast via a live stream on the Internet and an additional frequency in the Bochum cable network.
Surname
The name probably has several origins. On the one hand, the founders (including Andreas Scheidt) of the campus radio had previously broadcast a community radio program entitled Campus Topic , on the other hand, c. t. to " cum tempore ", the "academic quarter hour" at which almost all courses in Bochum begin. Another theory is that c. t. should be an abbreviation for Campus Total .
program
CT das radio directs its program primarily to students at Bochum's universities and interested parties from the region. The daily program consists of two magazine programs. Thematic focus in the early shift (Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.) and in the late shift (Monday to Friday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) is on reports from the university, science, research, local events and music. Fixed broadcast elements are the Fresschen (university cafeteria plans), the exit (event tips ), the usher (cinema program) and the disc of the week (CD of the week, in cooperation with the NRW campus radio). Every hour, at the minute 30, three-minute messages are sent that are created and produced by the editors themselves. In the morning, the news offer is supplemented by one-minute headlines on the hour. These messages are followed by a current weather report and information about the current traffic situation in the transmission area.
From 8 p.m. onwards, CT broadcasts special programs that change daily. The following programs are part of the current program schedule:
This Is A Call (music show, focus on rock music), Melancholia (music show, focus on EBM, Gothic, Dark-Wave), Tacheles (talk show with guests and thematic focus), Rockaway Beach (music magazine, focus on rockabilly / new wave / surf / psychedelic / Punk) Metal Mania (music broadcast, focus on metal, hard rock), Kultimativ (cultural broadcast), Erbgut (music broadcast, retrospective 80 / 90s), Ninety Zero (sports magazine).
On Saturday evenings there is electronic music with the format turntable in the evening hours at CT.
In addition to the live program, automated music tracks are broadcast at day and night.
CT das radio is ad-free, but sends its own program information and promos in the form of trailers and sponsorship.
