final
Cliff Thorburn had already won numerous titles in his career. Opposite him, Jim Wych, was a newcomer to the final, because it was the first professional final for Wych.
Thorburn got into the match better and took a 4-0 lead before Wych came up to 4-2 and 5: 4. Subsequently, both players only won one frame in a row before Thorburn won the last two frames necessary to win the title again with a score of 7: 6.
