Alex Candelario
Alexander Candelario (born February 26, 1975 in Las Vegas ) is a retired American cyclist .
Alex Candelario began his professional career in 2002 with the Prime Alliance Cycling Team . In his second season there, he won a stage in the Cascade Cycling Classic . From 2004 to 2007 he rode for the Jelly Belly Cycling Team , where he won a stage in the Redlands Bicycle Classic and again a stage in the Cascade Classic in the first year . In the 2005 season he won a stage at the Tour de Nez, at the International Cycling Classic and at the Celebrity Classic Criterium. The following season Candelario won a stage at the Central Valley Classic and two sections at the International Cycling Classic. In 2007 he won another stage in the Tour de Nez and was also able to win the overall standings. Candelario has been driving for the Continental Team Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies since 2008 . He won a criterion in Greenwood in 2008 and a stage of the Tour de Korea in 2012 .
He ended his career at the end of the 2014 season.
