The Canopy Group is one of Ray Noorda founded investors company in Lindon , Utah . It serves as the parent company to a number of technology companies. One of its best-known member companies was the SCO Group .
A controversial legal case forced Canopy to reduce stakes in other business units and withdraw from investments. Therefore, SCO has been part of the so-called case Yarro (Yarro case) no longer Canopy Group and is now independent. Recently, Canopy has distanced itself from the SCO and Yarro's business interests.
