Lindon is a city in Utah County in the US state of Utah with 10,070 inhabitants in 2010. It is located in the Utah Valley at an altitude of 1,415 m on the east bank of the Utah Lake and extends in north-south direction as a good two kilometers wide strip from the lakeshore to the Wasatch range rising to the west . It belongs to from Lehi to Provo continuous agglomeration of Orem / Provo metropolitan area .

The settlement emerged as Southfield of the neighboring Pleasant Grove to the north and was registered as an independent municipality in 1924.

The city has merged with Pleasant Grove to the north and Orem to the south and, like all cities in the region, has seen strong growth in the years since 1990, with a change from agriculture to suburbs of economic centers. The relatively late expansion of the city attracted above-average economic residents, so that the incomes of the residents of Lindon are well above the average of Utah County.

The city is accessed in a north-south direction by Interstate Highway 15 and the parallel US Highway 89 .
