The Cardiff Arena (also known as the Cardiff Bay Ice Arena ) was an ice hockey rink in Cardiff , Wales .
history
The Cardiff Arena is home to the professional ice hockey team Cardiff Devils from the Elite Ice Hockey League . The arena was originally intended to serve as a temporary solution after the closure of the Wales National Ice Rink , but the construction of a new stadium was delayed several times, so that the Cardiff Arena will be used by the Cardiff Devils until further notice. In addition to ice hockey games, figure skating events are also held at the Cardiff Arena. After the Cardiff Devils moved into the Ice Arena Wales in March 2016, the Cardiff Arena was demolished that same year.
