Cardo polymer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term cardo-polymer was introduced in 1971 by Korshak for polymers that have at least one quaternary carbon atom in their monomers , on which there is a lateral ring. This is known as the Cardo group .

All polymers with a Cardo group have a similar thermal stability . They dissolve well in organic solvents and have high glass transition temperatures of 350 ° C to 380 ° C.
