Carillon Kaunas

The Carillon Kaunas is a carillon in Kaunas , the second largest city in Lithuania . It has 35 bells made in Belgium in 1935 . The Kaunas carillon was installed in the tower of the Vytautas Museum in 1937 on the initiative of Vladas Nagevičius and composer Juozas Tallet-Kelpša . In 2006 the carillon was supplemented with 14 bells. Regular concerts began in 1956. The first musicians were Viktoras Kuprevičius and Giedrius Kuprevičius . Concerts are held year round every Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m. in the garden of the Vytautas Museum.
