Carl Schultz (director)
Carl (originally Karoly ) Schultz (born September 19, 1939 in Budapest ) is an Australian director and screenwriter of Hungarian origin.
Life
Schultz was born in Budapest . In connection with the Hungarian uprising of 1956, he fled to Great Britain with his brother . He lived first in London and then in Manchester . In 1958 Schultz emigrated to Australia . He first worked as a cameraman for the Australian broadcaster Australian TV. He later became director of this station. In 1978 he started his career as a film director.
