Carl von Langen
Carl Joseph Maria von Langen (* October 23, 1753 - date of baptism - in Trochtelfingen , † November 16, 1836 in Rottweil ) was a German writer .
Langen was in the service of the imperial city of Rottweil from 1779, from 1783 as council secretary, later as court judge. Retired in 1803, he then worked as a forester for a few years. In 1821 he presented the first Rottweiler town history, in 1824 a volume of poetry and in 1825 a collection of sagas to supplement the town's history. Rudolf Krauss judged Langen's poetic works very disparagingly : "void Reimer".
