Carlhäusl

The Carlhäusl is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Munich's Obermenzing district .

history

In 1726, the building was first mentioned in the Menzing Hofmark register of goods as "Häusl" without agricultural land. The masonry consists of used bricks, probably from the nearby dyeing and fulling mill, which was shut down in 1713. In 1990 the city of Munich acquired the building, which was renovated from 1996 by the D'Würmtaler Heimat- und Trachtenverein .
