Carlos Martinez (* 1967 in Widnau , Switzerland) is a Swiss architect and CEO of Carlos Martinez Architects AG.

Career

Carlos Martinez was born in 1967 in Widnau as the son of Spanish emigrants. After training as a structural draftsman, he studied architecture from 1988 to 1992 at the St. Gallen evening technical center. He has been a member of the Swiss Werkbund since 1993 and was an architecture expert for the Federal Art Commission until 2009. In 2007 he was visiting professor at the chair for urban development at the Technical University of Munich. Carlos Martinez realized over 100 projects with his office. In 2017 he was awarded the gold medal of the “Foro Europeo Cum Laude” for his achievements.
