Carnonacae

Celtic tribes in Scotland

The Carnonacae were a Celtic tribe in northern Scotland , known only from Ptolemy's " Geographia " . From their general description and the location of their neighboring tribes it can be concluded that they inhabited the west coast of today's Ross-shire . Ptolemy does not name any of their cities or main settlements.
