The Kinston Indians are a minor league baseball team based in Kinston , North Carolina .

The team that plays in the Carolina League in the Southern Division is the high-A farm team of the major league baseball team Cleveland Indians .

The team played in Grainger Stadium from 1949 until they moved to Zebulon .

In 2012 they moved to Zebulon , taking the name of the previous Carolina Mudcats team.

The Kinston Indians have won the Carolina League 5 times (1989, 1991, 1995, 2004, 2006).
