Carreta Quemada is a town in Uruguay .
geography
Carreta Quemada is located in the area of the Department of San José in its sector 3 on the Arroyo Carreta Quemada . A few kilometers southwest of the town is the department capital San José de Mayo , about the same distance south of Rodríguez . The Arroyo de la Virgen runs almost ten kilometers east of Carreta Quemada and forms the border with the neighboring Florida party . Arroyo Tala Chico and Arroyo Tala rise north of the village .

The population of Carreta Quemada is 99 (as of 2011), of which 56 are male and 43 are female. The Instituto Nacional de Estadística de Uruguay did not collect any data for the previous censuses in 1963, 1975, 1985 and 1996 .
