Rodríguez is a city in Uruguay .
geography
Rodríguez is located in the territory of the Department of San José in its sector 2 . The departmental capital San José de Mayo and Raigón are a few kilometers to the west , while Capurro , 18 de Julio and Ituzaingó are located to the southeast . In addition, the Arroyo Cagancha flows past not far from Rodríguez in the west .
history
On June 14, 1960, Rodríguez was born under the legal regulation of Ley No. 12733 Status Villa awarded.
Infrastructure
The Ruta 45 , which meets the Ruta 11 south of the town , and the Montevideo - San José - Colonia railway line run through Rodríguez .

The population of Rodríguez is 2,604 (as of 2011), of which 1,248 are men and 1,356 are women.
