The Carrickfergus Knights are an American football team from the Northern Irish town of Carrickfergus .
history
The association was founded in October 1993. Since 1994 they have played in the Irish league IAFL. In their first year the Knights managed to move into the Shamrock Bowl , but lost it at 15:22 against the Dublin Tornadoes . In 1995 they had to admit defeat to the Tornadoes, this time at 12:44. In 1997 the Knights were able to win the Shamrock Bowl, with a 21-0 win against the Dublin Bulls . Two more titles followed in 1998 and 2002, as well as four runner-up titles. With 9 participations in the Shamrock Bowl they are record participants.
