Carrie Luz Rodriguez (* 1978 ) is a Mexican - American singer-songwriter and the daughter of the Texan singer-songwriter David Rodriguez. She sings and plays the fiddle , electric mandolin and four-sided tenor guitar. In 2001, Chip Taylor heard her performing at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas and invited her to tour Europe with him. They released the album Let's Leave This Town together in 2002 and have since recorded a number of other albums together.

Carrie Rodriguez released her first solo album, Seven Angels on a Bicycle , on August 15, 2006. The second album, She Ain't Me , followed on August 5, 2008. On her website she sells the album Carrie Rodriguez Live in Louisville 2009 , on which she can be heard in the opening act for Lucinda Williams .
