Carrie Vaughn

Carrie Vaughn (born January 1973 in California ) is an American writer of short stories in the genres of science fiction and fantasy ; she is the author of the urban fantasy series Kitty Norville . In Germany the books are published by Heyne Verlag and translated by Ute Brammertz.

Life

As the daughter of a US Air Force pilot, Vaughn grew up nomadic with her mother and younger brother. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Occidental College , during which time she also studied for a year at the University of York and a Master of Arts (MA) in English literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder . She lives in Boulder , Colorado .
