Carunculae hymenales

Annular scarred remnants of the hymen in the area of the vaginal entrance (ostium vaginae or introitus vaginae), which surround it as small elevations of the mucous membrane (wart-shaped)
As Carunculae hymenales myrtiformes (to Latin carunculae , small piece of meat ' ) refers to small wart-like scarred remnants of the hymen after deflowering or a birth at separate proximal edge of the small labia ( labia minora ) that the vaginal opening limit.
