Cascada (potato)

Cascada is a predominantly waxy to slightly floury potato variety that was approved by the Federal Office of Varieties in 2009. It ripens medium to late. The breeder is the Norika company.

The potato yield is high to very high, the starch yield medium. The potato has an oval tuber shape with a yellow, smooth skin. The eyes are flat, the deep yellow color of the flesh turns very weakly to weakly after cooking. The taste has only minor defects.
