The ImmoAgentur Stadium in Bregenz , Austria , is the home of the soccer club Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz and offers around 12,000 spectators or a playing area of 6,800 m². It was built in 1950 and 1951. The home games of the men's team, which plays in the Vorarlbergliga, and the games of the women's team, which plays in the 2nd Women's League West, are played here. Until it was dissolved in 2005, the former first division club Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz (1919) played its home games here. The stadium is also known by its original names Casino Stadion (until July 2019) and Bodenseestadion .
The stadium is approx. 350 meters from Bregenz train station .
After its construction, it was one of the largest in Austria alongside the Vienna stadium. In 1993/94 the stadium was completely renovated and today's grandstand was built. In order to meet the requirements of the Bundesliga, the casino stadium at that time was adapted in 1999 and in the following years.
history
The Bodenseestadion was originally built in 1952 - as a football field with a circulating concrete cycle racing track with a length of 450 m, designed by the architects Schürmann . In 1993 at the latest, the cycle track was converted into a ten-meter-wide, eight-lane track.
