The Casino de Zamora (also Círculo de Zamora called) is a building in Zamora , a Spanish town in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon , which was built from 1905 to 1910.

history

The building at Calle Santa Clara No. 2 was built in the style of Modernism according to the plans of the architect Miguel Mathet y Coloma . The client was the association of citizens of the city (modeled on the Casino de Madrid ) who wanted larger meeting rooms for their meetings.

The two-story house has a large hall and additional rooms on the first floor. Today it is a restaurant and café . The street-side facade is adorned with ceramic tiles , the decor of which is inspired by Roman wall painting .
