Caspak or Caprona is a fictional ice-free land in Antarctica devised by Tarzan author Edgar Rice Burroughs . The three-volume Caspak series is one of the author's best-known and most popular novel series.

content

It tells the story of a submarine crew who discovered a mysterious island during the First World War that is not shown on any map. It is the world of Caprona , which is called Caspak by its inhabitants . Time seems to be standing still here. Right from the start you will encounter various dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. When exploring the country, the further you advance, you encounter higher and higher forms of life. But you soon notice that life on Caspak is different from the rest of the world. Humans, for example, lay eggs and there are wieros , horrific flying creatures feared by everyone. Only gradually does it become clear that they guard the secret of Caspak's evolution.

All three episodes, The Land That Time Forgot , The People That Time Forgot, and Out of Time's Abyss , were released in 1918 in a relatively short series Blue Book Magazine . The first book was published in 1924.
