Moravic

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Moravicum is a geological unit extending from south to north Moravia attracts and east to the Moldanubicum borders, trapped by the crystalline of Svratka and Letovice . In the east one finds Permo- Carbonic and Neogene sediments . In the south it runs to Austria . The Moravikum consists of two parts: in the south it is the slab of the Thaya (Dyje), in the north the vault of Svratka. The Moravic was formed by metamorphoses of different rocks, phyllite , mica schist , gneiss (e.g. the Bittescher gneiss ), which locally change into migmatites . There are granite stones in the cores of both vaults .
