history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1350 as part of the Richenburg rule . Its owners were the lords of Pardubitz and Richenburg . At that time Swratka was already known as a town. It originated on the left bank of the river in Bohemian territory on the border with Moravia .

After the Battle of the White Mountain , the estate was confiscated as the property of Wilhelm the Younger von Waldstein . In 1627 the city rights were revoked.

From 1707 to 1823 the Kinsky lords were at Rychmburk Castle and thus also at the Swratka estate, followed by Karl Alexander von Thurn und Taxis .
