history

The first documentary mention of Roženka took place in 1366, when Hertvík von Zwole assigned income from the village as a dowry to Kačna von Zwole. In 1385, Mikšík von Radinoves sold the village of Roženka to Matyáš von Smržov and Ostrov. He sold it in 1390 to Mikuláš von Kojetín. Hereš von Ostrov protested against the sale because he had rights to the property of Matyáš von Smržov. Mikuláš von Kojetín assigned the village to his wife Zdenka together with Kojetín . After a settlement between Matyáš and Hereš von Ostrov, the sale was reversed in 1392 and Roženka was handed over to Hereš, who passed the village on to Čeňek von Ronow . In 1406 the village belonged to the widow of Smil von Zwole, Bětka, and Jan Hlaváč von Ronow contested her ownership over claims against her deceased husband. Other owners after Jan Hlaváč von Ronow were Václav Sturm von Ronow and Mitrow and from 1433 Hynko von Zwole. 1446 followed his brother Peter von Zwole, who was pastor in Zvole and later in Letovice . He left the Holíkovský ox and the village Roženka, including the Holíkovský pond below, to the parish in Zvole. Since at the same time the village of Zvole and the church belonged to the Saar Cistercian monastery , Horní Rožínka was also owned by the monastery and later also called Rožínka Opatská . A seal and coat of arms of Rozinka has been handed down since 1667 .

After the abolition of patrimonial Horní Rožinka formed a community in the Neustadtl district from 1850 . In 1947 the community was assigned to the Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem in the course of the dissolution of the Okres Nové Město na Moravě. Since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .
