history

The first written mention of the parish of Rozsochy took place in 1285. For a time the village belonged to the possessions of the Augustinian convent Doubravník and after its destruction by the Hussites it came back to the Lords of Pernstein . At the beginning of the 15th century, von Rozsochy turned the one in the service of Wilhelm the Elder. Ä. Buschklepper Michek Benedov standing by Pernstein with his people unsafe the area. In the 17th century there was an inheritance court in Rozsochy as well as a stately brick factory and a manor. The village consisted of 17 houses in 1643. After the Thirty Years' War the village was largely desolate; of the 28 properties in 1663 only eight were managed. In 1763 a parish and school house was built. The school moved to a new building in 1792.

After the abolition of patrimonial Rosochy formed from 1850 with the districts Blažejovice and Vojetín a municipality in the district of Neustadtl . In 1885 a new school building was inaugurated. The place name Rozsochy has been used since the beginning of the 20th century . The railway line was inaugurated in 1905. In 1921 a major fire caused by lightning destroyed the school, seven estates and both inns. After the communists came to power in 1948, the Sokol was broken up . 22 residents were arrested and some were sentenced to long prison terms.

In 1949 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem in the course of the dissolution of the Okres Nové Město na Moravě. In 1954, geological exploration work began on the Dolní Rožínka uranium deposit . In 1961 Albrechtice and Kundratice were incorporated, at the same time the village came to Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1963, the Rožná 5 uranium mine east of Rozsochy was sunk. After the production stopped, the 346 m deep shaft R 5 served as a weather shaft for the Rožná 2 pit until 1993 and was then kept.
