Rosička (German Rositschka , also Rosicka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers southwest of Žďár nad Sázavou and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .
geography
Rosička is located southwest of the Saar Mountains on a ridge in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The Bohemian town is located immediately west of the historical border with Moravia and the main European watershed between the Elbe and Danube. To the east is the large Matějovský rybník pond. To the north rises the Židovská (602 m) and in the northwest the Rosička (644 m).
Neighboring towns are Huťský Dvůr and Sázava in the north, Česká Mez in the northeast, Budeč in the east, Matějov in the southeast, Sirákov and Poděšín in the southwest, Nížkov in the west and Buková, Nové Dvory , Kopanina and Kopaniny in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village Rozseč was made in 1356 as the property of Ješek Ptáček from Pirkstein auf Polná .
After the abolition of patrimonial Rosička formed a municipality in the political district of Polna from 1850 . From 1880 the village belonged to the Deutschbrod district . In 1893 the settlement of Kopanina came to Rosička. In the 1930s, a wooden tower was built on the Rosička hill for air traffic control. 1949 Velká Losenice was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1961 Sázava was incorporated and between 1980 and 1990 Rosička was a district of Velká Losenice . At the beginning of 1991 the village of Rosička was established.
The community has a coat of arms that shows an ax crossed with a cut branch under a bishop's cap symbolizing the Dietrichsteiners .

Attractions
- Rosička hill with a 42 m high telecommunication tower. The structure, erected in 2001, has a viewing platform at a height of 24 m and is freely accessible with the exception of the winter months.
