history

Spělkov was founded in the 13th century during the colonization of the primeval forests on the Moravian-Bohemian border by the Lords of Medlov . Spielkowicz was first mentioned in a document in 1392, when Wilhelm I von Pernstein signed several villages over as dowry in the course of his marriage to his wife Markéta von Jakubov . In 1437 Johann von Pernstein secured his wife Barbara von Waldstein in the same way . Spielkowicz was first subordinate to the judge from Bystřice and from 1483 a separate judge was appointed for Krásné and Spielkowicz. In Ortssiegel von Spielkowicz has existed since 1483. When the rule of Pernstein was divided by Wilhelm II of Pernstein , Spielkowicz belonged to the Neustadtl - Ingrowitz share from 1500 . In 1631 Spielkowicz consisted of seven farms. After the end of the Thirty Years War, only five farms are listed in the hoof register. The village subsequently grew and in 1840 there were 376 people living in Spielkau . This was the highest number of inhabitants in the history of the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial Spělkov / Spielkau formed a municipality in the political district of Neustadtl from 1850. In 1880 the reformed community built a cemetery to the west of the village. In 1930 Spělkov had 206 inhabitants. In 1949 the municipality was assigned to Okres Polička. Since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou. Spělkov is now a resort. Only 16 of the 38 houses are used permanently for residential purposes. There are also eleven holiday huts in the vicinity of the village.
