history
In 1393 the village of Cossaw was mentioned in the course of a tithing dispute led by the Obyčtov pastor . Cossaw was northeast of Obyčtov on Kosový vrch and went out a little later. It is believed that its inhabitants gave up the place because of the unfavorable location and built the new village of Hodíškov. This can be proven for the first time in 1417, when a settlement between the Saar abbot Jan and the owner of the Neustadtl estate , Čeňek von Lipá, was concluded because of the disputed village of Hodiskow . Čeňek von Lipá handed over Hodiskow to the monastery, but was awarded the labor service throughout his life. In Hodiskow there was a Freihof, to which the lower jurisdiction was transferred. In 1444 the abbot Jan sold the farm to Ondra von Řečice. It is believed that this came from the Vladiken family Konáč, who later called themselves Konáč von Hodíškov. His son Vavřinec received the farm from Abbot Linhart in 1478 as hereditary property. In 1462 there were eight small farms in the Saar land register for Hodysskow next to the farm, one of which was desolate. In 1607, Cardinal Franz Xaver von Dietrichstein acquired the village. After his death, his brother Maximilian von Dietrichstein inherited the property. He sold it to the Saar monastery in 1638. The oldest local seal dates from 1667. After the abolition of the monastery in the course of the Josephine reforms, Hodíškov fell to the religious fund of the Saar rulership in 1784. This was transferred to the Imperial and Royal Disposal Commission for the State Property. The Saar dominion was divided into five parts. Hodíškov remained subordinate to Saar until 1848.
After the abolition of patrimonial Hodíškov formed a community in the Neustadtl district from 1850 . In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou in the course of the dissolution of the Okres Nové Město na Moravě .
