history

The first mention of the village of Brzesye , which belonged to the Meziříčí manor , was in 1371 when Jan the Elder . J. von Meziříčí had his wife Kateřina credited as dowry. Later Březejc passed to other owners and therefore feuds with the Meziříč rule. In 1447 Jan the Elder bought Ä. from Lomnice back the village of Jiří von Krawarn and joined it again to Meziříčí, which Březejc belonged to until 1848. The eastern village of Chlístov was extinct before 1552, and the Chlostov forester's lodge and three Chlostov ponds were later built in its place.

After the abolition of patrimonial Březejc formed from 1850 a district of the municipality of Ruda in the district administration Groß Meseritsch . In 1882 the political municipality of Březejc was established. After the cancellation of the Okres Velké Meziříčí, the municipality came to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou at the beginning of 1961 . 1980 Březejc was incorporated into Velké Meziříčí. The community has existed again since 1992.
