Račice (German Ratschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located nine kilometers southeast of Nové Město na Moravě and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .
geography
Račice is located on the left side of the valley basin of the Račický creek on a plateau at the southern foot of the Křiby ( Spinnberg , 571 m) in the Bohemian-Moravian Height . To the west is the Strženík pond.
Neighboring towns are Křídla , Ježkov, Branišovský Mlyn and Branišov in the north, Ráčkův Mlyn, Albrechtice and Blažejovice in the Northeast, Strchův Mlyn, Míčův Mlyn, Horni Rožínka and Zvole in the east, Olešínky the southeast, Mirošov in the south, Bobrová and Podolí in the southwest and Radešínská Svratka , Lánský Dvůr and Dlouhé in the northwest.
history
The Rundling around a village square was probably founded during the first colonization of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Racsize was first mentioned in a document in 1462 in the Saar Urbar.
After the abolition of patrimonial Račice formed a municipality in the Neustadtl district from 1850 . In 1947 the community was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou in the course of the dissolution of the Okres Nové Město na Moravě .
