history

The first written mention of the village Výmyslice was made in a note as a new village on the copy of a certificate Johann von Pernstein from 1534 about the introduction of the Neustadtler beer compulsory in 18 surrounding villages. In 1564 Výmyslice was one of the villages that Vratislav von Pernstein pledged to the town of Neustadtl. A little later, the village was renamed after the pond Kukla . This served as a water reservoir for the glassworks in Vříšť. The new name Kuklík is found for the first time in 1568 in a document relating to the local mill. In 1590, both names are recorded for the place in the Německé castle law book.

In 1651 the owner of the Neustadtl estate, Franz Maximilian Kratzer von Schönsberg, set up a fresh fire in Kuklík, which, together with others in Vříšť and Líšná, processed the iron ore extracted in the mountains for further processing in the Kadau blast furnace . The water from the Kukla was used for the hammers and fresh fires in Vříšť and Líšná. The settlement of Chobot was established in 1736 and Chobotský Dvůr can be traced back to 1741. After 1770 the fresh fire in Kuklík went out. Since the second half of the 18th century, iron ore was mined in several shafts in Kuklík. A place seal has been detectable since 1808. In 1834 the Kuklík mines were one of the most important suppliers of the Kadau ironworks. In 1848 the kukla was drained.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kuklík formed a community in the political district of Neustadtl from 1850. In 1875 Count Mitrowsky bought the Kuklík iron mines for the Stiepanauer Eisenwerke. In the following year, the last blast furnace in Stiepanau was blown out, and iron mining in Kuklík also went out. In 1927 the road from Žďár to Německé was built. During an explosion due to incorrect handling of dynamite, an accident occurred in which two residents of house no. 13 died. In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1964, the exploration tunnels to the iron ore deposit were driven at Chobot. Mining was not resumed; instead, a new source of drinking water was developed with one of the tunnels. In 1976 Kuklík lost its independence and was a district of Sněžné until 1990.

Today Kuklík is a resort and winter sports resort. In the village, u. a. the actor Oldřich Nový (1899–1983) and the painter František Emler (1912–1992) recreation.
