The first documentary mention of the village took place in 1356 as the property of the Filip and Markéta von Střítež siblings, who came from the Vladiken family of Vrchoslav. In 1452 the Lords of Pernstein acquired the goods and added them to the Pernstein domain . On January 2, 1830, the Střítež forester Václav Mařík killed the last wolf of the Pernstein manor. His bellows was then stuffed and presented at Pernstein Castle. In 1834 Střítež consisted of 33 houses and had 284 inhabitants.
After the abolition of patrimonial Stříteř formed a municipality in the Neustadtl district from 1850 . In 1949 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem in the course of the dissolution of the Okres Nové Město na Moravě. 1961 Střítež was incorporated into Bukov together with Nivy ; at the same time the village came to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . The Lísek castle ruins are located west of the village on a hill above the Bukovský potok valley. The lords of Bukova can be proven to be the first proven owners of the complex, which was probably built in the 13th century. From around 1500 the castle belonged to the Pernsteiners and since 1504 it has been called desolate.
The chapel of St. Mind.
In the local area there are several atonement stones and farmsteads in peasant baroque style.
