Koroužné (German Koraschna , also Korouschna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers east of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .

geography

Koroužné is located in the Svratka valley in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The village is surrounded by the mountains of the Nedvědická vrchovina and belongs to the Svratecká hornatina nature park. To the south rises the Sokolí hora ( Zumberg , 625 m), in the southwest the Jahodná (586 m), west of the Zubštejn ( Zuberstein , 687 m) with the castle ruins of the same name and in the northwest of the Pyšolec (464 m), on which there is also a Castle ruins are located. In the northwest is the Vír II dam .

Neighboring towns are Věstínek and Bolešín in the north, Lhota u Olešnice in the northeast, Brťoví and Čtyří Dvory in the east, Švařec and Borovec in the south, Lesoňovice in the southwest, Pivonice and Kobylnice in the west and Vír in the northwest.

history

The village belonging to the Zubsteiner estates was first mentioned in 1377 under the place name Coruzne . In 1384, Margrave Jobst of Moravia left the lordship of Pyšolec with all accessories to Heralt von Kunstadt . After Johann von Pernstein had acquired the rule of Pyšolec in 1446, this was combined with the rule of Pernstein . The place experienced its heyday under the Lords of Pernstein . The area belonged to the Stiepanauer Bergrevier, in the mines copper, silver and lead were extracted. Mining ceased in 1773.

After the abolition of patrimonial Korožná formed a municipality in the Neustadtl district from 1850 . In 1909 a concrete bridge was built over the Svratka. In 1949 the community came to Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. 1961 Švařec and Kobylnice were incorporated and Koroužné at the same time assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . Another bridge was built in the Niederdorf in 1974, which was built in reinforced concrete. 1980 Koroužné was attached to Štěpánov nad Svratkou . The community has existed again since 1990.

There are two mills in Koroužné, the upper mill has a sawmill operated by a turbine.

The municipality Koroužné consists of the districts Kobylnice ( Kobilnitz , also Zuberstein ), Koroužné ( Koraschna ) and Švařec ( Schwaretz ) as well as the settlement Záskalí.

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Kobylnice nad Svratkou, Koroužné and Švařec.

  • Before the bend in the river above Koroužné, the Svratka accumulates in Hastrmanka. According to ancient traditions, water men are said to live there. Between 1907 and 1936 three people drowned in the Hastrmanka.
